The 8th Annual Burgin-Lytle Reunion was called to order by the Pres. J. A. Burgin at 10:30 0'clock a.m. July 17" 1938. Held at Bethel Methodist Church. After a Song by congregation prayer was offered by Rev. H. C. Byrum.

     The Howell Burgin Children Burgin quartet was then heard in Song. After which the Welcome address was made by Grady Burgin - Son of Tommie

​

      Again there was Singing by quartet following the Singing Rev. H. c. Byrum made a fine address on the Subject "Why have a reunion" which was much enjoyed by all that heard him. the meeting then adjourned for dinner.

​

      At the noon hour a bounteous dinner was Spread. and was much enjoyed by the great number of people that partook of it.

2:00 p.m. The meeting was again called to order.

​

     After Singing by quartets there was talks made by different Speakers pertaining to Burgin and Lytle History.

​

      Reports was then heard from committees.

​

     All officers was re elected to Serve another year.

​

     Time of next meeting is 3rd Sunday in July 1939
