The twelfth (sic) anual (sic) Burgin Lytle reunion was held at Bethel Methodist Church, July 19, 1942.

      The Service began with several congregational songs. The Invocation was given by Mr. Henry Burgin. The address of Welcome was given by Mr. John

​

      Special music was rendered by The Vaughn Gospel Five and other quartets.

​

      The Rev. C. R. Ross, Pastor of the Church gave the address of the morning.

​

      After the closing prayer the meeting ajourned (sic) for lunch out in the Church yard.

​

      The meeting conveened (sic) again at 1 :30 p.m. and we were favored by more Special music.

​

      An impressive memorial service was led by C. L. Lytle in honor of those who had passed away since our last meeting.

​

      The following names were called to memory: Miss Mattie Burgin, George Frank Burgin, Jassie B. Lytle, Nancy B. Ross, J. Alonzie Burgin, and L. L. Pyatt who was a devoted and honored friend of the families and a faithful attendant of our Reunions. This part of the service was closed in prayer by The Rev. R. M. Varner.

      Visitors were recognized by the secretary and some of them made short

​

      At the Business Session M. G. Burgin was elected President for the ensuing year and C. L. Lytle was elected Secretary. It was agreed that at our next meeting there would be no Special service planned but that all should use the time in getting acquainted and renewing old acquaintances.

      The meeting ajourned (sic) to meet again next year, same time, same place.
