Twenty-Fourth Reunion

The Twenty-fourth Burgin & Lytle Reunion was held at Bethel Methodist Church.

The meeting was called to order by the president Howell Burgin.

 

Song by Cong - "Come Thou Fount"

Invocation was given by Mr. A. R. Walker

Special Music was given at this time

Welcome Address was given by Rev. A. Lealan Lytle

A short talk was given by the Pastor Rev. L. W. Hall

Ray Burgin read a lot of Burgin history that A. H. Burgin from Ala has a record of.

The Gospel Five & Dixie quartet gave several numbers at this time.

Cong. Song - Higher Ground, Rev. Franklin Justice

 

Dismissed for Lunch.

A picnic Lunch was spread on Lawn and enjoyed by all.

 

After Lunch a very Impressive Memorial Service was given by Mrs. Cassie Bailey & Daughter.

The cong. sang "Beautiful Isle".

 

The Business meeting was held at this time.

All officers retained for the coming year.

Several numbers in Song was enjoyed at this time by all quartets, a Solo was sang by Miss Jeanette Burgin, accompanied by Bro. Howell Burgin at piano. Collection was taken at this time for expenses. Amt. $26.86

Several special numbers was given at this time by The Burgins, Betty Case, Gospel Five, Dixie quartet.

The Cong. Sang "God Be with you till we meet again".
