Twenty-Second Reunion

The Twenty-Second Annual Burgin & Lytle Reunion was held at Bethel Methodist Church Sunday July 20 1952.

The Meeting was called to order by our New president Rev. A. Lealan Lytle.

Had several good numbers by quartets

The Welcome Address was given by Ray Burgin Several songs was given at this time by the quartets.

 

We had a lot of Burgin & Lytle by both Families.

We all enjoyed the short message by the pastor Rev. A. Lealan Lytle a short but very inspiring message for the congregation.

Then we had several little short talks by Rev. Grady Burgin, Rev. James Allred and others

The main event was at 12:00 Noon we adjourned for Lunch.

A bountiful Lunch was spread on the lawn and enjoyed by all.

 

At 1 p.m. the Congregation when (sic) back in Church for the afternoon session which was composed of a short program by the Howell Burgin Sr. Family.

 

Then the Business Meeting was held. All officers were retained for another year.

A Collection was taken at this time of which $22.10 was raised. It was also voted by the Congregation to pay 1/4 on putting water to the Churches of which we are mighty proud 1/4 of this expense was $42.72 cleaning up & tables $3.00 programs $4.75 cups 3.75 Ice .75 total spent $54.97 Amt. in Treasure to Date $29.66.

 

After the business meeting we all enjoyed a good singing, by a number of quartets.

The Memorial Service was given at this time.

The Congregation Sang for a closing song, God be with you till we meet again and was dismissed by prayer.
