Twentieth Reunion

The Twentieth Burgin & Lytle Reunion was held at Bethel Methodist Church Sunday July 16 - 1950.

The Meeting was called to order by president Alvis Lytle.

 

Song by Congreation (sic), "How Firm a Foundation".

Burgin History - was given by Mr. Burgin from Ala.

Several Short Talk - were given by Members of Group by Congreation (sic)

 

Adjournment for Lunch

A bountiful lunch was served picnic style and enjoyed by all.

 

After lunch the Congreation (sic) met back in the Church

Several Songs were rendered by quartets

All enjoyed a short talk by Mr. James Morris 91 yr old

A short program was given by W. H. Burgin Family

Recognition of Out of County Visitors was held at the time four States were represented, Tenn. S. C. Ga. Ala. We also had a present from South America, Joe Lee Grant, Grandson of the late Joe Burgin.

A Memorial Service was conducted by Louise Bailey 9 were counted deceased since last Memorial 3 yrs ago.

There were 256 registered about 300 were pres.

 

The business meeting was held and at that time

Ray Burgin was elected president.

Howell Burgin Vice president.

Glenn Bradley Sec. Treasurer.

A Program Committee was elected,

Mrs. Cassie Bailey,

Rev. Lealan Lytle,

Mrs. Sallie Burgin,

Mr. Alfonzo Burgin

A Collection was taken for expenses which was $29.72 in Collection Paid out $37.00 amt in Treasure $50.36
